The Brave Little Seed
A tiny seed finds the courage to grow, even when it feels scary.
Deep in the dark soil, there was a tiny seed. The seed was warm and cozy underground. But something was happening. The seed felt a tingle.
"What is that?" asked the seed. It was a little green shoot, trying to push up!
"I am scared," said the seed. "It is dark up there. What if it is cold?"
The warm soil hugged the seed. "You can do it," said the soil. "Push, push, push!"
The seed pushed. And pushed. And pushed some more!
Pop! A tiny green leaf poked out of the ground. The sun was shining! The sky was blue! A butterfly flew by and said hello.
"Oh!" said the seed. "It is beautiful up here!"
The seed grew and grew. It grew a stem. It grew more leaves. And one morning, it grew a beautiful yellow flower!
The butterfly came back. "Look at you! You are so brave and so beautiful!"
The little seed smiled. Being brave had been scary. But it was worth it. Now the whole world could see the seed's beautiful flower.
Goodnight, brave little seed. Goodnight.
