The Morning Helpers
Two siblings learn that helping each other makes mornings easier and more fun.
Riya and Dev were sister and brother. Every morning was the same.
"I can't find my socks!" said Dev.
"I can't reach my cup!" said Riya.
Mama was busy. Papa was busy. Mornings were so rushed!
One day, Mama had an idea. "What if you two become Morning Helpers? You help each other!"
"Help each other?" said Dev. "But she's little!"
"And he's messy!" said Riya.
But they tried.
Dev found Riya's cup and put it on the low shelf. Easy!
Riya found Dev's socks under the bed. "Here, bhaiya!" she said proudly.
Dev helped Riya zip her jacket. Zip!
Riya helped Dev find his shoes. "Under the sofa, bhaiya!"
They looked at each other and laughed. "We're a team!" said Dev.
"The best team!" said Riya.
Now every morning was different. No more crying. No more rushing. Just two Morning Helpers, working together.
Mama smiled from the kitchen. "You know what? You two don't need help anymore. You help each other."
Riya hugged Dev. Dev hugged Riya. Being a helper felt so good.
