Rooster's Morning Song
A little rooster finds his voice and wakes up the farm with joy.
On a little farm, there lived a small rooster named Rio. Every morning, the big roosters would crow. "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!" So loud! So proud!
But Rio was small. His voice was tiny. "Cock-a-doodle... doo?" It came out like a whisper.
"Don't worry," said Mama Hen. "Your voice will come when you're ready."
One morning, Rio woke up early. The sky was still dark. The stars were fading. No one else was awake.
Rio looked at the sky. He saw the very first bit of orange light. The sun was coming! Someone had to tell the farm!
Rio took a deep breath. A really, really deep breath. He puffed up his feathers. He opened his beak.
"COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!"
It was loud! It was clear! It echoed across the farm!
The cows woke up. "Moo! Good morning!" The pig stretched. "Oink! What a beautiful day!" The ducks waddled out. "Quack! Thank you, Rio!"
Rio smiled the biggest smile. He did it! His voice was small, but his courage was big.
From that day on, Rio sang every morning. And every morning, the farm started with a smile.
