The Small Lion's Roar
A little lion cub practices roaring until it finds its big voice.
In the golden savanna, there lived a small lion cub. All the big lions could roar very loudly. ROAR! The ground would shake!
The little lion tried to roar too. "Rr..." It was very quiet. Like a whisper.
The big lions smiled kindly. "Keep trying, little one."
The little lion tried again the next day. "Rrr..." A little louder this time. But still not a real roar.
The little lion practiced every day. Morning and evening. Under the hot sun and the cool moon.
One day, the little lion stood on top of a big rock. It took a deep, deep breath. It opened its mouth wide.
"ROAR!"
The birds flew up! The grass waved! The other animals turned to look!
The little lion had done it! A real roar!
"I did it! I did it!" The lion cub jumped up and down.
The big lions came and rubbed noses with the little cub. "We are so proud of you."
The little lion smiled. Trying again and again had made it stronger.
Goodnight, little lion. Goodnight.
