The Smiling Flower

A child waters a small flower every day, and the flower grows tall and happy.

In a small garden, there was a tiny flower. It was so small, you could barely see it. Its leaves were thin. Its stem was short.

A child walked by every morning. The child carried a little watering can. Splash, splash, splash! The child watered the flower.

"Drink up, little flower," said the child softly.

Day after day, the child came back. Rain or shine. The child always remembered the little flower.

And slowly, something magical happened. The flower grew taller. Its leaves grew bigger. Its stem grew stronger.

One sunny morning, the flower opened its petals. Pink and beautiful! The flower looked like it was smiling!

"You grew!" said the child, clapping hands. "You are so beautiful!"

The flower swayed in the breeze. "Thank you for caring for me," the flower seemed to say.

The child smiled too. They had grown something beautiful together.

Goodnight, smiling flower. Goodnight.
