The Warm Little Sun
A little sun shines warmly to help children play and flowers bloom.
The sun woke up early. It stretched its golden rays and yawned a big yawn.
"Good morning, world!" said the sun. And it began to shine.
It shined on the playground. Children came out to play! They ran and laughed and jumped. "Thank you, sun!" they called.
It shined on the garden. Flowers opened their petals wide. Red flowers. Blue flowers. Yellow flowers. They all turned their faces to the sun. "Thank you, sun!" they sang.
It shined on a puppy sleeping by the door. The puppy felt warm and wiggled his tail in his sleep.
"I like helping everyone," said the sun. "When I share my warmth, everyone is happy."
A cloud drifted by. "You make the world so bright," said the cloud.
The sun smiled even bigger. The whole sky turned golden and pink.
At the end of the day, the sun slowly set behind the hills. "Goodnight, everyone," whispered the sun. "I will be back tomorrow."
The moon came out and winked. "Sleep well, little sun."
Goodnight, warm little sun. Goodnight.
