You can delete your Little Voice Club family account, every child profile in it, and the data we hold about your family at any time. This page describes the two ways to do that, what gets deleted, what we keep for legal reasons, and how the 30-day grace window works.
There is no fee for deleting your account or your data.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
The fastest path is the self-service flow inside the app. The owner schedules deletion; the family enters a 30-day grace window during which any owner can cancel and restore the account. After 30 days the data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
- Open the Little Voice Club app and sign in to Parent Zone.
- Tap Profile.
- To remove a single child, open that child’s card and choose Remove Child (this is immediate). To delete the entire family, scroll to the Family card and tap Delete Family — owner-only — or, if you are not the owner, tap Leave Family.
- Verify your parent PIN, then confirm. Family-wide deletion is scheduled for 30 days from confirmation; we send a start-of-grace notification to every adult on the family so nobody is surprised.
- At any point in the next 30 days you can sign in and tap Reactivate my account to restore the family. You can also download a per-child Memento PDF keepsake of the journey before the grace window ends.
For a multi-parent family, leaving removes you and your data; the family stays alive for the other parent(s). For a single-parent family, deleting the account also deletes the family and every child profile in it.
What happens during the 30-day grace period
We treat the grace window as a recovery period for your data, not a continued service tier. Concretely:
- Subscriptions cancel immediately when deletion is requested. The 30-day grace is for data recovery, not for continued service. You will not be billed again on our backend after the request commits.
- Paid features are gated for the rest of the grace window. Only the free experience remains accessible from the app.
- Free content stays accessible — stories, podcasts, jokes, sleep loops, books, learning pages, and games all remain reachable on the public web (see below). None of them require an account.
- You can export per-child mementos at any time before the grace window ends. The download link is signed and stays valid for 7 days from generation.
- You can reactivate from the modal that appears the next time you sign in, from the pinned banner if you dismissed the modal, or from the Family Deletion Status screen under Profile. After reactivation, paid features will require a fresh subscription — the original mandate was cancelled at request time and cannot be restored.
App Store and Play Store subscription passthrough
If you subscribed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you must cancel that subscription in your iOS or Android Settings — we cannot cancel App Store or Play Store subscriptions from our backend. Apple and Google handle billing directly for those platforms; deleting your Little Voice Club account does not stop their renewal.
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Little Voice Club → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Little Voice Club → Cancel subscription.
- Razorpay (web): we cancel the mandate automatically when you request deletion; nothing is required of you.
Option 2 — Email us
If you no longer have access to the app (for example, you uninstalled it, lost access to the Google account you signed in with, or are requesting on behalf of someone), email us and we will delete the account on your behalf:
Please include in your email:
- The parent name on the account.
- The Google email address used to sign in.
- Your family ID if you know it (visible in Parent Zone → Profile).
- The number of child profiles on the account.
- A line confirming that you are the parent or legal guardian on this account.
We answer within 3 working days. We schedule the family for the same 30-day grace deletion as the in-app flow; total turnaround from email to permanent removal is therefore up to 30 days, in line with COPPA and India’s DPDP Act.
What gets deleted
When the 30-day grace window ends — or when you process a single-child removal in-app — we permanently remove:
- Parent profile information from Google Sign-In (name, email, profile photo) and your parent PIN.
- Every child profile in the family, including nicknames, birth year, and avatar.
- All gameplay data: scores, BrainPower transactions, badges, streaks, learning progress, concept-mastery records.
- Miss Tara conversation history and any feedback you sent through chat.
- All campaign artwork submissions and gallery entries tied to the family.
- Support tickets you opened and any associated messages.
- Shipping address and contact phone if you had stored one for campaign goodies.
- The family document itself, so the account no longer exists in our records.
What we keep, and why
A small amount of data is retained to comply with legal and financial obligations. After deletion, none of it is linked to your family, your name, or your email — it is anonymised before retention.
- Subscription, payment, and refund records. We keep these in anonymised form for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial-record obligations under Indian law (and equivalent rules where the App Store or Play Store handled the transaction). Anonymisation removes any link between the record and your family before the retention period begins.
- Aggregated usage statistics. Counts that have already rolled up into product-wide totals (e.g. “total stories played”) cannot be unwound, but they contain no identifier that points back to your family.
Free features stay free, even after you leave
Account deletion only removes your account-bound data. Our free content does not require sign-in and remains open to everyone:
- Bedtime & good-morning stories for ages 2–10
- Parenting podcast episodes and the YouTube channel
- Jokes
- Sleep loops
- Printable books
- Learning pages
- Free games
None of these need an account. So even after deletion, you and your kids can keep coming back to littlevoice.club for stories, podcasts, and games — only your personalised data (children’s profiles, achievements, gameplay history) goes away.
Timing summary
- Single-child removal (in-app): immediate.
- Family deletion (in-app, owner): scheduled after PIN confirmation; permanently removed 30 days later. Cancellable any time during the grace window from the reactivation modal, the pinned banner, or the Family Deletion Status screen.
- Leaving a multi-parent family (in-app, non-owner): immediate; your profile and PIN are removed but the family stays alive for the other adults.
- Email request: acknowledged within 3 working days. The family then enters the standard 30-day grace; total turnaround is up to 30 days.
